Last year, SaarLB, Landesbausparkasse Saar (LBS), their employees and the staff council organised numerous campaigns to collect donations for a good cause. A total of \u20ac17,500 was raised for various charitable organisations in Germany and France. The donations are used for specific projects that support disadvantaged people and sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n

Organisations and projects supported \n<\/strong><\/b>Katrin Spelz<\/b> (Head of Human Resources and Communication at SaarLB), Sascha Matheis<\/b> (Spokesman of the Board of Management of LBS) and Frank Humburg<\/b> (Chairman of the Staff Council) presented the donations to the institutions at a handover ceremony held in the former customer hall of the Franco-German Bank. All the beneficiary organisations were present at the event and were able to accept the donations in person:<\/p>\n\n

SOS-Kinderdorf Saarbr\u00fccken<\/a><\/strong> \nSupport for the training restaurant EinMAHLig, in particular for the introduction of digital ordering and checkout systems.<\/p>\n\n

La flamme de la vie<\/a><\/strong> \nSupport for an association in Lyon that organises leisure activities for seriously ill children.<\/p>\n\n

W\u00e4rmestube Saarbr\u00fccken e.V<\/a>.<\/strong> \nProviding a safe place for homeless people to stay.<\/p>\n\n

Blinden- und Sehbehindertenverein f\u00fcr das Saarland e.V<\/a>.<\/strong> \nSupport for blind and visually impaired people in everyday tasks.<\/p>\n\n

BUND Landesverband Saarland e.V.<\/a><\/strong> \nEnvironmental education project \u2018Kunterbuntmobil\u2019 to raise awareness of nature and environmental protection among children and young people.<\/p>\n\n

Verein zur Pflege von Erde und Mensch e.V.<\/a><\/strong> \nPromoting nature-based care for children, adolescents and young adults.<\/p>\n\n

Stadtbauernhof Saarbr\u00fccken e.V.:<\/a><\/strong> \nPromoting sustainable agriculture and environmental education for children and young people.<\/p>\n\n

Flutopferhilfe Saar e.V.:<\/strong> Support for flood victims through emergency aid, reconstruction and long-term support.<\/p>\n\n

Commitment to the region<\/strong><\/b> \n \n\u2018Through our joint collection campaigns, we make a valuable contribution to social and sustainable projects here in our German-French region every year. This is an important signal for us as a German-French bank, and at the same time we are honouring the outstanding commitment of the volunteers in these organisations,\u2019<\/i> said Katrin Spelz, Head of Human Resources & Communication at SaarLB<\/b>.<\/p>\n\n
